Job Overview
Octobotics Tech is seeking a skilled and motivated NDT Level II Engineer for our shore-based inspection operations. This is a full-time, on-site role at our Noida office, focused on delivering reliable Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) services using Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT), and other conventional methods.
The selected candidate will be actively trained in the operation of robotic crawlers and telescopic pole-based UT tools used for high-access and confined-space inspections. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of advanced NDT and robotics, contributing to the structural integrity and safety of critical industrial assets.
Key Responsibilities
Perform Non-Destructive Testing using UT, MT, PT, and VT in line with relevant codes and client procedures.
Carry out ultrasonic thickness gauging on tanks, vessels, and pipelines, both manually and using advanced robotic solutions.
Operate and assist with robotic crawler systems and telescopic pole-based inspection setups (full training provided).
Interpret inspection results and create comprehensive technical reports with corrosion mapping and defect characterization.
Use tools such as AutoCAD or equivalent software to visualize inspection data, thickness variations, and corrosion profiles.
Ensure timely calibration, upkeep, and safe use of all inspection instruments and equipment.
Adhere to on-site safety protocols, prepare safety documents, and coordinate with client safety personnel during fieldwork.
Required Qualifications
Level II Certification (ASNT / PCN / ISO 9712) in at least two NDT methods: UT, MT, PT, VT.
2–4 years of field experience in ultrasonic thickness gauging and inspection report preparation.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and structured digital reporting.
Strong understanding of tank, vessel, and pipeline inspection standards and documentation.
Ability and willingness to work in industrial site conditions and travel when required.
Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Skills)
Working knowledge or certification in Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT).
Previous experience with robotic crawler systems for NDT or remote visual inspection.
Exposure to corrosion mapping, weld inspection, or defect evaluation tools.
